Parents Café

Parents Café
Starting this Monday 22 May, we’ll be holding an open “Parents Café” at CLM – a place to come along and share a drink (or a croissant too!) with other parents, have a natter, find support – somewhere to go before you get into the day’s routine. We’ll run every 2 weeks to start with – 2nd and 4th Mondays in the month. Message us if you want more details.

Dementia friends session at CLM

dementia friends logoCLM and Amanda Boult, a local Dementia Support Worker for Alzheimer’s Society, are running a free ‘Dementia Friends’ Information Session on Wednesday 22 February and are inviting local people to come along and join in.

Alzheimer’s Society’s Dementia Friends programme is the biggest ever initiative to change people’s perceptions of dementia. It aims to transform the way the nation thinks, talks and acts about the condition.

Dementia Friends is about learning more about dementia and the small ways you can help. From telling friends about the Dementia Friends programme to visiting someone you know living with dementia, every action counts.

The one-hour Session will take place at CLM Church, Cottage Lane, Ormskirk at 10am. After the session Amanda will be available for the rest of the morning for one to one consultations or help with advice on specific situations.

There are currently 850,000 people living with the condition in England.

Anyone wanting to attend the Dementia Friends Session should contact CLM Church – by phone on 01695 574103, through the web contact form or by email – or book through the Dementia Friends website:
