Christmas Day Service

Our Christmas morning service is now available, so why not head over to our YouTube channel and celebrate Christmas with us.

We realise that organizing ourselves for Christmas can be complicated so we’re making it available for you to watch at any point from Christmas Eve onwards. Do join us on Zoom for our live Christmas hello though, 11.45am Christmas morning!

And – despite everything – have yourselves a very merry Christmas!

Today’s service recording available

Head over to YouTube for today’s service with a cracking message on Mary’s encounter with Gabriel from Adrian.

And if you saw the service on livestream this morning, you may have noticed there was a blip in the setup that meant that the slides for the notices were not on screen. We’ve put these up separately so you can catch those if you want.

No recording of the Silent Night carol dance party though… had a blast, but when it’s gone, it’s gone!

Silent Night Carol Service

Christmas Candle
The singalong drive-in for Sunday 13th evening has been cancelled – but we can still rejoice at the message these carols bring. And even if we are unable to sing in our services, there are many other ways to interact with the music – tapping feet, swaying gently to the beat, bashing a tambourine…

So this Sunday afternoon at 4pm, we’ll be holding a “Silent Night” socially distanced carol service where we hope that the joy and comfort that the Christmas message brings can still come across loud and clear. When and where?

Sunday 13th December, 4pm, @CLM

We look forward to seeing some of you there – even if we can’t hear you!

Drive-in Carol Service Cancelled

Car Park Carols CancelledWe are sorry that the Churches Together in Ormskirk drive-in carol service scheduled for this Sunday evening in Morrison’s car park has been cancelled. We are grateful to Morrison’s for their help in putting it on but are sorry finally not to be able to run the event. We’ve missed doing the flashmob there this year too but wish you all as great a Christmas as possible this year, despite everything!

Even if we can’t get together and sing, you can still sing in the shower – so blast out some carols between soap and shampoo and celebrate “Lather Christmas”!

AlterNativity – this Thursday @CLM

Thursday 10 December,
3pm & 7pm

We have a real treat in store this Thursday, sure to bring some Christmas warmth to your heart!

Author Simon Cross is joined by singer / songwriter Rob Halligan to lead us in a carol service entitled “AlterNativity”. This service gives us an alternative take on 9 Lessons and Carols and will inspire and encourage us in the run-up to Christmas.

Rob HalliganThis is a free event. But it is also a socially distanced event with Covid secure regulations in place and limited capacity so booking is essential – send details to us and we will get back to you to confirm your place:

  • Email
  • DM clmormskirk on Facebook
  • Voicemail 01695 574103

Both events will be transmitted live on YouTube, so if you’d rather not be there in person, go to our YouTube channel (or search CLM Ormskirk) and tune in on Thursday!

If you’d like a preview, Rob’s Christmas EP is available to listen to or doenload free on his Bandcamp page.
