Lockdown 2.0

Lockdown

In keeping with the government’s latest regulations, we will not be holding worship services or other church activities at CLM for the next 4 weeks. We are sorry to have to do this but, along with so many other of our country’s commercial, leisure and cultural establishments, we are obliged to close. So please don’t turn up on Sunday!

The good news, though, is that even if we can’t meet together in person, God isn’t locked down so we can still meet with him as well as celebrate our faith together online.

Services will continue but be transmitted via livestream over YouTube every Sunday morning. The recording will be available later in the day once it’s finished processing. And our Sunday afternoon meeting will take place on Zoom.

You can find our Sunday morning service live on our YouTube channel. The recording will be on the same channel later, or check our dedicated dlockdown worship page here.

To join the afternoon meeting, message us for the ID and meeting password.

Stay safe, and we look forward to being back together again in person next month 🙂

Remembrance Sunday

Remembrance Day

The recording of our Remembrance Day live streamed service is now available on YouTube – view on our channel or our lockdown services page.

Our apologies for the intermittent sound at various points of the introduction and the worship – technical issues that we were unable to deal with at the time without the usual people involved in managing production of the live stream.

Sunday meetings 27th September

We will be meeting again this Sunday at CLM – a morning worship service at 11am, and a more informal afternoon meeting, suitable for all and with provision for children, at 4pm. Meetings last around an hour.

And just so you know, the new Lancashire local lockdown restrictions do not affect religious services and can continue as before. Systems to make the building safe are in place and you will need to sanitise your hands on entry and wear a mask while in the building. Refreshments are available in the café afterwards (table service only).

Do join us if you can!

“Live” services starting at CLM

This Sunday 20 September we will be starting “live” services at CLM. We will hold two meetings which will both be run in accordance with government “Covid secure” guidelines. These are worship services, not social occasions, though you are welcome to stay afterwards and converse with others once outside again.

Our morning worship will be similar to our services prior to the Coronavirus lockdown. It starts at 11am and will last around an hour. Refreshments will be served afterwards – seated, and respecting the limit of 6 on social groups. (This Sunday! This changes with the introduction of the limited local lockdown in Lancashire on Tuesday, though our worship services will not be affected.)

We are also starting a more informal meeting on Sunday afternoons. This is suitable for all, families with children included, and will start at 4pm.

Do get in touch if you need any more details. Hope to see some of you there!

Sunday 16 August video available

This Sunday’s video is available to view on the usual page. So why not drop by and join in worship in song, prayer, some info on the new charity Community Lives Matter, a kids’ activity in which they can learn a bit about octopuses, and a brief look at the final paragraphs of Jesus’s teaching in the sermon on the mount?

Don’t forget that Neil does a longer message too, digging into the same text in a bit more detail. You can access it from the same page or directly on our YouTube channel.
